U.S Birth Rate Plunges Below Sustainable Level

America’s birth rate has just plunged to its lowest level in over four decades, according to the latest figures.
The U.S. birth rate is currently sitting far below the “replacement rate” which is required to keep the population at a sustainable level.
According to the data, published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), fewer babies were born in America in 2023 than in any year since 1979.
The data was revealed in a new report from the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics.
There were 3.59 million babies born in 2023, down 2% from 3.66 million recorded in 2022.
This number is the lowest since 1979 when 3.4 million babies were born.
Karen Benjamin Guzzo, director of the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, told The Wall Street Journal that fewer Americans want to have children while many are delaying starting a family.
“People are making rather reasoned decisions about whether or not to have a child at all,” Guzzo said.
“More often than not, I think what they’re deciding is, ‘Yes, I’d like to have children, but not yet.’”
This number is the lowest since 1979 when 3.4 million babies were born.

A bombshell revelation from the Jeffrey Epstein files has sent shock waves through Britain’s aristocracy and the global elite.
A British countess, who married into one of the most powerful dynasties in Europe, has been identified in newly unearthed documents as an alleged close associate of the late child trafficker, raising disturbing questions about how deeply Epstein’s network penetrated the upper ranks of society.
Glamorous interior designer Clare Hazell married Arthur Edward Guinness, heir to the Guinness brewing empire.
When she wed Guinness, the 4th Earl of Iveagh, she ascended overnight into the elite world of British nobility.
The softly spoken woman from Reading, once a part-time model who studied philosophy at an obscure Midwestern university, became Countess of Iveagh, mistress of a 23,000-acre country estate and part of one of the most storied families in Europe.
But according to a months-long investigation by The Mail on Sunday, that fairy-tale rise concealed a far darker past.
Flight Logs, Federal Alerts, and the Epstein Inner Circle
Newly uncovered documents from the Epstein Files, currently under review by the U.S. Congress, show that before marrying into the Guinness dynasty, Hazell was allegedly deep inside Epstein’s inner circle.
Flight records indicate she traveled on Epstein’s private jet, the infamous “Lolita Express,” at least 40 times in just four years.
She flew on the jet to Epstein’s private “Pedophile Island” in the Caribbean and properties in New York, Ohio, and New Mexico.
On at least one of those flights, she was reportedly accompanied by former Prince Andrew, whose association with Epstein has been widely documented.
On nearly every trip, Epstein himself was present, often alongside his sex trafficking accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell
Maxwell is now serving a 20-year prison sentence for trafficking minors to Epstein and his powerful associates.
In June 2020, Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) formally contacted the FBI, warning that Countess Guinness was “allegedly a close contact of Epstein.”
The NCA further reported that a woman, whose identity was redacted, had accused the Countess of sexual abuse.
That accuser was later identified as Virginia Giuffre, who alleged she was trafficked by Epstein to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and raped by the disgraced former prince several times as a teenager.
Critical Legal Caveat
However, there is no proof that Giuffre’s allegation against the countess is true, as the claim was never investigated by police and never tested in court.
It never will be.
Both women are now dead.
Giuffre took her own life in April last year.
The countess died two days before Christmas at age 51 after a battle with brain cancer.
With the allegations only now emerging, the countess has now taken her secret to the grave.
A Life Celebrated and a Past Buried
The countess was eulogized at a private funeral on the Guinness estate, attended by family and close friends.
Her two sons, one the future Earl and heir to a reported $1.23 billion fortune, led tributes praising her as a devoted mother who lived an “exemplary” life.
Behind closed doors, however, those closest to her admit her Epstein past was never discussed.
“While she was alive, people didn’t want to talk about the dark cloud hanging over Clare,” a source reportedly told The Mail on Sunday.
“She was universally loved… few knew about her time with Epstein, and if they did, they never talked about it.”
Epstein’s Benefactor System
Sources say Hazell first encountered Epstein in Britain before being invited to the United States.
In the U.S., she befriended Maxwell and became financially dependent on Epstein.
She enrolled at Ohio State University, which received millions in donations from Epstein’s sole client, billionaire Les Wexner.
Former classmates say Epstein paid for her tuition, housing, and living expenses, effectively acting as her “benefactor.”
Friends recall her living in luxury apartments, frequenting elite country clubs, and routinely jetting off to Epstein’s properties, including the notorious “Pedophile Island.”
“She referred to him as her benefactor,” one former university friend said.
Victim, Participant, or Both?
The central question remains unanswered:
Was the Countess a victim of Epstein’s manipulation or a willing participant?
Even Giuffre’s own statements evolved over time.
While she publicly accused Hazell of abuse, she later expressed sympathy, describing her as someone who may not have wanted to be there.
If any abuse occurred, Hazell would have been nearly a decade older than Giuffre at the time.
Federal Scrutiny, Then Silence
The NCA’s 2020 letter to the FBI triggered internal discussions among U.S. prosecutors, who ultimately allowed a children’s charity, the NSPCC, to proceed with its own internal review.
Hazell stepped down before that process concluded.

A coordinated network of far-left activist organizations played a central role in the street confrontation and nationwide unrest that followed Saturday’s fatal shooting of anti-ICE agitator Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis, according to a detailed investigation.
The investigation by Fox News Digital found that agitators were already mobilized and actively tracking federal immigration agents minutes before the shooting occurred, using encrypted messaging platforms, live street alerts, and a shared database designed to monitor alleged ICE vehicles.
Agitators had been embedded in protest crowds to provoke confrontations with federal agents in an apparent effort to engineer chaos.
At the time of Saturday’s fatal shooting, federal agents were in Minneapolis to arrest an illegal alien with a criminal history.
Pretti, 37, and other activists were already on scene outside a donut shop on Nicollet Avenue, part of what investigators describe as an organized pattern of interference with federal law enforcement operations.
Within hours of the shooting, a nationwide network of socialist, communist, and Marxist-Leninist organizations leveraged the incident into coordinated protests across the country.
The speed of the response, fueled by short, emotionally charged and out-of-context video clips, emojis, and rapid calls to action, revealed what the investigation described as a disciplined logistical and messaging operation.
In a Sunday post on X, Vice President JD Vance wrote:
“This level of engineered chaos is unique to Minneapolis.
“It is the direct consequence of far left agitators, working with local authorities.”
Encrypted Signal messages reviewed by Fox News Digital show anti-ICE “rapid responders” actively tracking, broadcasting, and calling in “backup” around federal agents near Glam Doll Donuts, where the shooting occurred.
Local activists made at least 26 entries into a shared database called “MN ICE Plates” in the hours surrounding the incident, logging license plate numbers and alleged ICE vehicle sightings.
One database entry, logged as row 344, read, “At the nicollet [sic] murder,” describing a black Jeep Wagoneer allegedly connected to the shooting.
Another entry tracked a black Ford Taurus at the donut shop location.
At 9:50 a.m. ET, just minutes before the fatal encounter, a Signal user identified as “Willow” posted a 22-second video showing two agents near the storefront.
In the video, a sign reading “ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA” is visible as the person filming yells, “No!”
Three minutes later, another Signal user escalated the alert.
“Backup needed at the Black Forest Inn parking lot on Nicollet Ave just south of 26th Street,” the message read.
“Multiple vehicles with many agents appear to be staging there.”
ICE Assistant Director Marcos Charles said Sunday that the violence was “not a coincidence,” citing the ongoing “chaos and mayhem” being fomented in Minneapolis.
Customs and Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Greg Bovino confirmed that Pretti had been “on the scene several minutes” before the shooting.
Video from the area shows Pretti stepping into Nicollet Avenue to direct traffic while other agitators blew whistles to warn residents that ICE officers were nearby.
Moments later, Pretti became involved in a confrontation with CBP agents across the street from the donut shop.
At approximately 10:05 a.m. ET, Pretti was shot and killed.
Minutes later, the Signal networks erupted.
Using a red phone emoji to signal urgency, activists sent an all-points alert requesting immediate reinforcements and medics, warning that agents might deploy gas.
Within minutes, activists flooded the area.
Video showed supplies already staged nearby, including boxes labeled “FREE WINTER HATS” and bottled water, suggesting advance logistical planning.
By early afternoon, far-left organizations nationwide amplified the incident.
Media outlets such as CNN and MSNOW described “angry protesters” but did not identify the ideological organizations coordinating the mobilization, even as protesters openly displayed socialist and communist group signage.
According to the investigation, the rapid activation mirrored tactics used following George Floyd’s death in 2020 and other past flashpoint events, with organizers quickly reframing Pretti, an ICU nurse at a Veterans Administration hospital, as a symbol of resistance.
Key organizers identified through digital message analysis included nonprofit organizations linked to American-born billionaire Neville Roy Singham, a self-declared Marxist-Leninist living in Shanghai.
Several groups involved are tied to the People’s Forum, a New York–based nonprofit Singham has funded since 2017.
At 10:48 a.m. ET, BreakThrough News, a nonprofit affiliated with the People’s Forum, released a video of the shooting that rapidly went viral.
By Sunday afternoon, it had amassed more than 4 million views.
Soon after, the Party for Socialism and Liberation published a graphic declaring, “CBP MURDERS ANOTHER IN MINNEAPOLIS,” and called to “EXPAND THE GENERAL STRIKE.”
Other groups, including Democratic Socialists of America, labeled the shooting an “execution” and demanded the abolition of ICE.
Similar messaging was echoed by top Democrats, prominent activists, and organizers nationwide, some explicitly calling to “bring this country to a halt.”
By evening, CNN reported from protests in New York City and Minneapolis without disclosing that speakers and organizers were affiliated with socialist and communist organizations.
Those affiliations were later proudly highlighted by the groups themselves on social media.
As protests continued into Sunday, Signal alerts showed activists once again tracking alleged ICE vehicles across Minneapolis.
At last count, the publicly shared “MN ICE PLATES” database contained more than 4,600 entries cataloging alleged federal vehicles, underscoring the scale and persistence of the organized monitoring effort.
The investigation concludes that what followed Pretti’s death was not a spontaneous uprising, but the rapid execution of a pre-existing activist infrastructure designed to exploit tragedy, escalate confrontation, and mobilize a national protest movement against federal law enforcement.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is scrambling to walk back his China pivot after President Donald Trump threatened to hammer Canada with massive tariffs if Ottawa turns itself into a trade conduit for Beijing.
Carney now insists Canada has “no intention” of pursuing a free trade deal with the Chinese Communist Party.
It comes just days after President Trump warned that any such move would trigger a 100% tariff on Canadian exports entering the United States.
The sudden reversal follows a series of events that exposed Canada’s quiet but aggressive realignment toward Beijing.
Canada’s China Deal, Davos Speech, and the “New World Order”
Earlier this month, Carney travelled to China, where he pledged Canada’s support to the Chinese Communist Party.
While addressing the CCP leadership, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Carney vowed to help China lead the “new world order.”
The comment drew immediate backlash, with critics accusing Carney of selling North America out to Communist China.
Right before the World Economic Forum’s annual summit last week in Davos, Switzerland, Carney returned from Beijing and announced a new five-point “strategic partnership” with Communist China.
Carney said the deal is aimed at “diversifying our trade partnerships.”
The agreement included slashing Canadian tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles from 100 percent to 6.1 percent for the first 49,000 units, in exchange for China reducing tariffs on Canadian canola from 85 percent to 15 percent until at least the end of the year.
Other Canadian exports, including canola meal, lobsters, crabs, and peas, were also spared Chinese anti-discrimination tariffs until at least the end of 2026.
A week later, speaking to global elites in Davos, Carney openly questioned the post-World War II U.S.-led order.
He warned that the “rules-based order” established by the United States and its allies was fraying amid rivalry between China and America, declaring that “middle powers must act together because if we’re not on the table, we’re on the menu.”
Carney went further, arguing that nations should no longer “go along to get along” with Trump.
Trump Responds, Hard
That message did not go unanswered.
President Trump fired back on Truth Social on Saturday with a blistering warning:
“If Governor Carney thinks he is going to make Canada a ‘Drop Off Port’ for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken,” Trump wrote.
“China will eat Canada alive, completely devour it, including the destruction of their businesses, social fabric, and general way of life.”
He added:
“If Canada makes a deal with China, it will immediately be hit with a 100% Tariff against all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S.A.
“Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Trump’s use of the title “Governor” echoed his past remarks toward former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, reflecting his long-held view that Canada survives economically and militarily under American protection.
On the sidelines of Davos, Trump doubled down.
“Canada gets a lot of freebies from us,” Trump said.
“By the way, they should be grateful also, but they’re not.
“Canada lives because of the United States.
“Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements.”
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent reinforced the administration’s position on Sunday, warning that the United States could not “let Canada become an opening that the Chinese pour their cheap goods into the U.S.”
Carney “Clarifies”

On Sunday, he told reporters that Canada would respect its obligations under the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA / USMCA) and would not pursue a free trade agreement without notifying Washington and Mexico City.
“What we have done with China is to rectify some issues that have developed in the last couple of years,” Carney said, adding that the arrangement was “entirely consistent with CUSMA.”
The clarification comes after Trump raised tariffs on Canadian goods from 25% to 35% in August 2025, signaling that Ottawa’s room to maneuver between Washington and Beijing is rapidly shrinking.
For now, Carney is insisting Canada is not cutting a China deal.

French leader Emmanuel Macron lashed out at President Donald Trump during a speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF), warning that the world is sliding toward a lawless era where “the only law that matters is that of the strongest.”
Macron’s Tuesday speech from the annual WEF summit in Davos, Switzerland, comes as tensions mount over Trump’s push to assert U.S. control over Greenland.
The French president’s remarks came days after Trump publicly released private text messages from the French leader urging him to reconsider his Greenland strategy.
Trump has repeatedly argued that Greenland is vital to U.S. and global security, citing threats from Russia and China in the Arctic.
Speaking to business and political elites, Macron accused unnamed powers of reviving “imperial ambitions” and trampling international law.

In a German TV appearance, Günther warned that unless the state and civil society take harsher action against what he described as online “excesses,” democracy itself would not survive the next decade.
When asked directly whether his proposal involved regulation, censorship, or outright bans, Günther did not hedge.
“Yes,” he replied. “That’s what we’re talking about.”
Calls for Age Bans and Mandatory ID

Fewer Americans filed for unemployment benefits last week, underscoring strong job security as 2026 gets underway and reinforcing signs of a stable labor market under President Donald Trump’s second-term economic agenda.
The Department of Labor reported Thursday that 198,000 Americans filed first-time claims for state unemployment benefits.
That figure is not only well below expectations but also historically rare, having occurred in just six weeks since the pandemic in 2020.
Looking further back, data dating to 1967 show that initial jobless claims have been this low or lower only about 2.5 percent of the time.
Economists had expected 212,000 new claims.
The previous week’s total was also revised down slightly, from 208,000 to 207,000.
Layoffs Remain Scarce
Because weekly claims can fluctuate, economists often focus on the four-week moving average, which provides a clearer picture of labor market trends.
That measure fell to 205,000, down from 211,500 the prior week.
Jobless claims are widely viewed as a proxy for layoffs.
The exceptionally low numbers at the start of the year suggest that while employers may be cautious about expanding payrolls, they are holding on to existing workers.
Rising productivity data indicate that many businesses are getting more output from their current workforce, allowing them to grow without significantly increasing headcount.

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned international elites that globalism has now been pushed “onto deathwatch” as sovereign countries increasingly begin putting their own citizens first.
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres just delivered the dramatic and ominous warning to world leaders as he prepares to step down as head of the UN in 2026.
He declared that international cooperation is now crumbling as nations increasingly reject globalist institutions like the UN.
Guterres issued the remarks Thursday during what will be his final annual priorities speech.
The UN chief is portraying a world spiraling into chaos amid geopolitical fractures, defiance of international law, and sharp reductions in humanitarian aid.
According to Guterres, these issues have arisen due to the downfall of globalism.

A disturbing crisis is emerging in Canada as the nation’s government-controlled socialized healthcare system aggressively prioritizes euthanasia over medical care.
Canada has seen a surge in citizens traveling abroad seeking medical care over fears of being railroaded into euthanasia by government-funded doctors or due to excessive hospital wait times as the nation’s socialized healthcare system prioritizes “assisted suicide” over expensive treatments.
More than 100,000 Canadians were forced to seek medical care outside the country last year, a new report has revealed.
The surge comes as the globalist Liberal Party government continues prioritizing assisted suicide over fixing Canada’s collapsing taxpayer-funded healthcare system.
A survey published in a report from the Fraser Institute found that 105,529 Canadians traveled abroad in 2025 to obtain non-emergency medical treatment.
Most of those who travelled abroad said they were unable or unwilling to endure Canada’s increasingly dangerous wait times, or they feared they would be pressured into euthanasia instead of treatment.
“Clearly, the number of Canadians who ultimately receive their medical care in other countries is not insignificant,” the institute concluded.
“That a considerable number of Canadians travelled abroad and paid to escape the well-known failings of the Canadian health-care system speaks volumes about how well the system is working for them.”
Months-Long Waits Drive Patients Out of Canada
The survey polled physicians across 12 major medical specialties, including orthopedic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, and internal medicine.
According to the findings, roughly 2.1 percent of Canadian patients sought non-emergency care outside the country in 2025.
Alberta reported the highest rate, with 3.0 percent of patients leaving Canada for treatment, while Newfoundland and Labrador recorded the lowest rate at 0.8 percent.
“In some cases, these patients may have needed to leave Canada due to a lack of available resources or a lack of appropriate procedures or technologies,” the report stated.
“In others, their departure may have been driven by a desire to return more quickly to their lives, to seek out superior quality care, or perhaps to save their own lives or avoid the risk of disability.”
The exodus comes as wait times continue to skyrocket.
Recent data show Canadians now wait an average of 28.6 weeks from a family doctor referral to receiving serious treatment, a figure that has tripled over the past 30 years.
Waitlists, Despair, and Assisted Suicide
Rather than addressing systemic failures, critics say the Liberal government has increasingly steered desperate patients toward euthanasia.
As wait times grow, reports indicate that some Canadians, particularly the sick, disabled, and elderly, are being forced into assisted suicide instead of enduring years without care or agressive pressured into “choosing” euthanasia.
Others who refused euthanasia have reported being labeled “selfish” by medical providers.
In one case, an Ontario physician disclosed that a middle-aged worker with debilitating ankle and back injuries felt government support was so inadequate that it was “leaving (him) with no choice but to pursue” euthanasia.
Another case involved an obese woman who described herself as a “useless body taking up space.”
A doctor reportedly argued she qualified for assisted suicide because obesity was considered a “grievous and irremediable” medical condition.
Relieving the Burden for the Greater Good
A growing number of hospital patients have been reporting that doctors are aggressively pressuring them into being euthanized instead of seeking treatment for their condition.
In many cases, a single lethal injection is far cheaper than long-term treatments, creating money-saving opportunities for care facilities.
As Slay News previously reported, the Canadian government is now saving tens of millions of dollars every year by euthanizing patients instead of treating them.
A study found that Canada’s healthcare system saves up to $136.8 million annually thanks to the government’s “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAiD) program.
However, critics are warning that vulnerable patients are being pressured into choosing death over “costly” care.
Tens of Thousands Die Waiting While MAiD Expands
More than 23,000 Canadians have died while stuck on medical waitlists as the Liberal government has aggressively expanded euthanasia access.

According to government data released in December, MAiD accounted for more than five percent of all deaths in Canada in 2024.

A leading China analyst is warning that the recent surge of anti–Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protests across the United States may not be as organic as they appear, alleging that networks tied to the Chinese Communist Party could be covertly financing and directing the unrest.
Appearing Monday on Newsline, Asia analyst and author Gordon Chang said the Chinese Communist Party has a well-documented history of using proxies and intermediaries to destabilize adversaries while maintaining plausible deniability.
He argued similar tactics may now be playing out on American soil.
Chang, a member of the Conservative Political Action Conference board and author of “Plan Red: China’s Project to Destroy America,” said Beijing increasingly relies on third-party actors to funnel money and amplify messaging aligned with CCP strategic interests.
“A friend tells me that China appears to be behind events disrupting stability in both Syria and Venezuela,” Chang previously wrote on X, adding that Beijing is “acting through proxies to try and mask its involvement.”
