Trump Launches $25 Million Anti-Fraud Whistleblower Reward Program

Blogger Comment: All western countries should adopt this strategy and where nations like the UK would greatly benefit bringing out the corrupt nature of our politicians and big business fraud like what happened in the Covid era where 100s of $ billions went literally down the drain, but where people in the know made fortunes out of the massive fraud…the cycle of unprecedented corruption between our lawmakers and the big corporate mafia has to be broken and such an equivalent scheme in the UK would save literally 10s of £ billions a year and every year….so $25 million is a good investment really and the Chancellor should take it on board immediately for sure…but I doubt he will because he is in on the fraud racket and as I am sure he will be…offshore account anybody and untraceable usually, but where there are ways ad means when you delve and dig deep as they say…

President Donald Trump plans to put a $25 million bounty on taxpayer fraud, launching a whistleblower program that will reward Americans whose tips help federal authorities bring fraudsters to justice.

Trump and Vice President JD Vance will unveil the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program, known as WHIP, during a Tuesday afternoon Oval Office announcement with the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, a White House official told Fox News Digital.

Eligible tipsters could receive up to $30,000 if their information leads to a successful fraud conviction or a significant federal enforcement action.

Trump also plans to present independent journalist Nick Shirley with a $10,000 check for his reporting on suspected fraud in Minnesota, work the White House credited with helping trigger a surge of federal investigative resources into the state.

In a statement, White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis said:

“Every day, President Trump’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud is zeroing in on the rampant abuse of taxpayer dollars and giving Americans the accountability they deserve.

“This administration has zero tolerance for individuals who steal from Americans.”

Cash Rewards For Exposing Fraud

The Justice Department will administer the program, with Americans able to submit tips through fraud.gov, according to the official.

The initiative will encourage independent journalists and everyday Americans to report suspected theft of taxpayer money.

Submitting an accusation alone will not qualify someone for a payout.

Information must produce a successful fraud conviction or a significant federal enforcement action before a tipster becomes eligible for a reward.

The program adds a financial incentive to the administration’s broader effort to uncover fraud in federal benefits programs and stop improper payments.

Trump established the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud in March, naming Vance its chairman.

The executive order directed federal agencies to coordinate investigations, strengthen eligibility checks, and prevent taxpayer dollars from reaching ineligible recipients.

Shirley’s Minnesota Reporting Leads To White House Recognition

Shirley attracted national attention in December 2025 when he published a video questioning whether several Somali-run Minnesota daycare centers were operating as legitimate businesses.

The footage showed apparently empty facilities and featured people who said they had not seen children at the locations.

The White House credited his reporting with helping spur additional FBI and Department of Homeland Security resources into Minnesota, followed by investigations, arrests, and new charges.

One facility featured in the video was Future Leaders Early Learning Center. Its former CEO, Fahima Egeh Mahamud, pleaded guilty in July to wire fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Prosecutors said Mahamud stole more than $4.6 million through false child care assistance claims, along with $850,000 through a federal child nutrition program connected to the Feeding Our Future scandal.

Shirley previously cited the guilty plea as vindication of his reporting after critics sought to discredit his investigations.

“Well, numbers don’t lie, and convictions don’t lie either,” Shirley told Fox News Digital.

The administration’s planned $10,000 award recognizes that work.

The broader program will give other Americans a financial reason to come forward with evidence that helps expose those stealing public funds.
