Top Candidate for Next UN Leader Wants Global Laws for Abortion Until Birth

Blogger Comment: As the United Nations (UN) is a Globalist construct and created after WW2, where the Globalists funded on both sides and as they have done in every war if you read history, and where War is a constant and massive profit driven economic model of the Globalists to use continually that earns literally $ Trilions every year for them and one of the three ‘primary’ main profit-driven industries for their ever-increasing deep pockets (Wars, Pharma/Healthcare and energy), as the Globalists cause the greatest man-made disasters all over the world and then come then as the savior of mankind, but where they then kill more of humankind then as well in curing the problem that they intentionally created (Covid a prime example and the Spanish Flu before that 100 years earlier (as Rockefeller created the psudo-science of Virology and the mass produced of so-called vaccines, that then killed many more than the 100 million humans as stated in history…niw we have huis equivalent Gates who literally controlls the WHO now with his $ billions)…that is what they adopt every time, no matter what the threat they create for humanity and the world’s people had better understand this clearly…very clearly…therefore this woman is a Globalist puppet like all UN Secretary-Generals are and you can tell this with her mindset of killing unborn babies as she professes and where this is all part of the Globalist’s euthanzia strategy for humanity if you read up on the subject…pure evil as Elon Musk would say…

One of the leading candidates to become the next secretary-general of the United Nations is drawing fierce backlash after openly signaling support for sweeping global abortion policies that critics warn would override national sovereignty and push death on demand worldwide, including up to the point of birth.

The selection process for the next U.N. secretary-general officially began in November 2025, and among the names dominating discussions is former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, a longtime left-wing activist and former U.N. high commissioner for human rights.

While Argentine diplomat Rafael Grossi currently leads much of the speculation surrounding the race, Bachelet has emerged as one of the most controversial contenders due to her aggressive record promoting abortion and radical gender ideology through the United Nations system.

Bachelet Faces Scrutiny Over Radical Abortion Agenda

Bachelet was originally nominated by the leftist governments of Brazil, Mexico, and Chile.

However, Chile has since withdrawn support after voters elected a strongly conservative and pro-life government last year.

Despite that setback, Bachelet reportedly hopes that backing from Brazil and Mexico will keep her candidacy alive.

Critics say her record at the United Nations reveals a determined effort to weaponize international institutions to force abortion policies onto sovereign nations.

According to Julia Książek of the Ordo Iuris Center for International Law, Bachelet used her time as U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights to aggressively promote so-called “sexual and reproductive rights.”

This terminology is often used by global abortion activists to push abortion access through international law without explicit democratic approval.

“During her tenure as the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, she was actively involved in promoting the so-called reproductive and sexual rights,” Książek said.

She warned that those policies include “abortion” and broader ideological agendas tied to gender activism.

Książek also noted that during a recent press conference following a hearing before the U.N. General Assembly, Bachelet indicated she would continue pushing abortion expansion if elected secretary-general.

According to Książek, Bachelet emphasized implementing recommendations from the U.N.’s CEDAW Committee, which has repeatedly pushed nations to decriminalize abortion and expand taxpayer-funded abortion access.

Critics Warn of Globalist Power Grab

The controversy has already triggered alarm among pro-life lawmakers in the United States.

As first reported by Devex, a coalition of 28 Republican senators and members of Congress sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio on March 25 urging the Trump administration to block Bachelet’s candidacy.

“Dr. Bachelet’s resume reveals a pro-abortion zealot intent on using political authority to override state sovereignty in favor of extreme agendas,” the lawmakers wrote.

“She has incorrectly claimed that abortion is a human right while failing to provide an honest assessment of the true human rights abuses committed by the CCP.”

The lawmakers also pointed to Bachelet’s close alignment with Planned Parenthood and her record in Chile, where she campaigned to weaken the country’s pro-life protections.

Bachelet also sparked outrage after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022.

At the time, she released a statement condemning the Dobbs decision and claimed abortion access was “firmly rooted in international human rights law.”

Critics blasted the remarks as another example of unelected U.N. officials attempting to impose ideological agendas on sovereign nations.

Trump Administration Expected to Oppose Bid

The stakes surrounding the secretary-general race are enormous.

The position serves not only as the public face of the United Nations but also as one of the most powerful unelected global offices in the world, helping shape international priorities, political initiatives, and diplomatic pressure campaigns.

Książek warned that the selection comes at a critical time as ideological battles intensify globally.

“Amid rising geopolitical tensions, ideological disputes, and global crises, this choice assumes special significance,” she said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a staunch pro-life advocate, is expected to strongly oppose Bachelet’s candidacy.

The Trump administration has already reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy, cutting taxpayer funding tied to overseas abortion promotion, while also increasing scrutiny of anti-free speech crackdowns targeting pro-life activists abroad.

A State Department spokesperson recently signaled the administration wants the U.N. refocused away from radical ideological activism.

“The United States is looking for a practical, driven, and reform-focused candidate who will safeguard the valuable contributions of member states, restore competent management, and streamline the organization significantly,” the spokesperson said.

“Any new secretary-general needs to return the UN to its primary purpose — maintaining peace and security in the world rather than the absurd, politicized, woke ideology that has undermined the institution’s effectiveness.”
