Vice President JD Vance said he intends to pursue further investigation into unusual language found in the Jeffrey Epstein files, pointing to references like “pizzas” and “grape sodas” that he said appear out of place and warrant scrutiny.
His remarks come as Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche maintains that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has already released all relevant material tied to Epstein, setting up a growing divide between administration officials over whether more remains to be uncovered.
Vance Flags Suspicious Language in Epstein Files
Speaking at a Turning Point USA event, Vance described reviewing documents connected to Epstein and encountering communications that raised red flags.
“One person sent an e-mail to Jeffrey Epstein saying, ‘Oh, they were some really nice, like pizzas or grape sodas or something like that,’” Vance said.
“And I remember it sounding like the Pizzagate conspiracy theory.”
Vance said the references stood out enough to justify further review.
“We should absolutely investigate,” he said.
He added that he plans to follow up to determine whether the individuals involved have already been examined by investigators.
“We absolutely should when you see evidence of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, regardless of who the powerful not fact,” Vance said.

DOJ Maintains Files Are Fully Released
Blanche, however, has taken a firm position that no additional Epstein-related documents remain undisclosed.
“We have released everything,” Blanche said in a recent appearance on Fox News.
“We reviewed six million pieces of paper!
“We are not sitting on a single piece of paper to be released.”
Blanche added that if new material emerges, it would be made public, but emphasized that the department’s review covered millions of documents, many unrelated to Epstein.
He also noted that members of Congress have the ability to review unredacted materials if they choose.

Debate Reignites Over “Pizzagate”-Linked Language
Vance’s comments have revived attention on language patterns in the Epstein files that some observers say resemble previously flagged codewords.
The issue traces back to 2016, when emails from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign manager, John Podesta, were published by WikiLeaks.
The emails contained repeated references to “pizza” and other terms that critics argued appeared in unusual contexts.
More recent Epstein-related document releases have prompted similar questions.
Analysts reviewing the files have pointed to repeated mentions of “pizza” and other phrases that, they argue, do not clearly refer to food.
Mike Benz, analyzing the newer materials, said:
“In these new files, you’ll see a lot of people talking about PIZZA in a way that (seems like a code), it’s kind of impossible.”
Some reports have also highlighted communications involving Epstein associate Dr. Harry Fisch that reference “pizza and grape soda” in ways described as ambiguous.
Questions Persist as Officials Split on Next Steps
Critics argue the volume and context of these references, combined with Epstein’s documented trafficking network, justify further investigation rather than dismissal.
Others maintain the language is benign and caution against drawing conclusions without clear evidence.
The split between Vance and the Justice Department underscores a broader tension that has followed the Epstein case for years, as official assurances that all information has been disclosed clash with ongoing public skepticism.
Whether Vance’s call for additional review leads to new findings remains unclear.
But his willingness to revisit the issue signals that questions surrounding Epstein’s network, and the language used within it, are unlikely to fade anytime soon.
